C E R E A L I A

Rock Lee

Naruto

TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■■□

Rock Lee's tags are usually quick and easy for me to get to.

MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■■■

His voice has become very stream of conciousness over the years, and I never really feel a need to review.

CAST STRENGTH: ■■■□□

It seems that the endgame announcement has imploded the cast explosion. I'm still happy with who we have left (the rest of Team Gai!!) although of course no hard feelings if others don't wish to take on the endgame stretch. Lee is one of my least cast dependent characters at least, but I'm happy for whoever is around!

PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■■□

Rock Lee's usually easy to plot with and get involved in things. No problems there!

GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■■

He can very easily be the most fun to play.

LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: □□□□□

He will never leave!

Phoenix Wright

Ace Attorney

TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■□□

I feel like I've been slower and less inspired with his tags lately.

MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■■□

His voice is still going steady and strong, and it comes to me fairly easily.

CAST STRENGTH: ■■■□□

It's still lovely and I'm happy for any of the attorneys who are sticking around!

PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■■□

He's my prime plotty character in this game and fairly easy to get involved in things when Lee isn't hogging the spotlight. I'm looking forward to seeing what opportunities await him in the final months!

GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■□□

As much as I love his CR and threads, I've felt kind of... dry with his muse lately? I dunno, it's been rarer for me to feel like I'm actively having fun with him.

LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: □□□□□

I'm confident in hanging onto Phoenix until the very end.

Taichi Yagami

Digimon Adventure

TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■□□□

I've been slow to the point of barely ever doing his tags at all recently.

MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■□□

His voice has been feeling very lacking for me lately, and it's been hard for me to really get into his head. I keep meaning to review some episodes to try to get back into his voice - and maybe even review some 02 to see if I can at least feel better about a canon update.

CAST STRENGTH: ■■■□□

It's small but very lovely and with one of the most key characters for Taichi!

PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■□□□

Not much. His digimon makes for some unique threads and is good for action-heavy stuff, but otherwise he's pushed out of the plotting spotlight by my other characters, and I feel bad about not lettiing a shounen protag do his thing. But he just doesn't have much of a plotting niche.

GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■□□

He can be really fun, but it's been harder for me to feel that fun with him lately.

LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: ■■□□□

If I can't improve my feel for him sometime soon, I may end up just letting him go.

Cerealia has been my home game for pretty much a year and a half, and these next few months I'll be preparing to say farewell to it. I've slowed down a bit here, but I'm still very willing and determined to last through the endgame stretch. Rock Lee and Phoenix are both fine to stay, and Taichi is currently my primary problem child. I might try to figure out this month whether to keep him or not.

No new characters, of course. It feels like it may be Enough to carry just these characters to endgame. The idea of reapping has been a mild temptation, but a very unlikely one. As much as I'm amused by the idea of Jade Curtiss returning for the last stretch, I don't think I'll be able to get myself to review Abyss and try to get back into his head sometime soon. And I dunno if I'd be able to get Matrix's muse going enough at all. So they may just remain as unlikely possibilities in the back of my head.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to whatever the coming months may bring!

Steven Quartz Universe

Steven Universe

TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■■□

I've been feeling a lot more in touch with Steven lately, so I've been much more consistent with his tags.

MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■■□

All of these new episodes have reinspired my Steven muse and given me some great new aspects of Steven to work with. His muse feels more alive then ever!

CAST STRENGTH: □□□□□

Still living the LCW life!

PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■■□

Picking up Gundam as actually helped me to get a better feel for the game and what I want to do with Steven here. I've been forming a lot more ideas and I'm hoping to get him more involved in the plot!

GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■□

He's loads of fun, especially now that I'm back in a better swing with his muse!

LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: □□□□□

Steven's good to stay!

Gundam Tanaka

Super Dangan Ronpa

TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■■■

He's been the character whose tags I do most often recently. He got so much attention on the intro log that a lot of energy has gone into fending off those tags alone.

MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■■□

His voice has been growing on me a lot. I think I still have room for improvement, but he's been coming to me easily most of the time.

CAST STRENGTH: ■■■■□

It's shaping up to a big and lovely cast with a good mix of characters from different games! And some of the most important castmates for Gundam are here, so I feel content.

PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■■□

I've had a lot more ideas forming for him and a desire to get him involved in the plot. Picking him up has helped me to truly get into Empatheias in general and inspired me to finally look more into the plot!

GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■■

His brand of ridiculous makes for so much damn fun.

LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: □□□□□

I'm very happy with him here already!

I feel like I was barely in the game the first two months, and this is like my "real" first month. I'm really starting to sink my teeth in and truly settle. I guess it's due to a combination of factors - getting into Gundam Tanaka with all the potential plotting ideas that came with him, getting a lot of great new material for Steven in recent episodes and the announcement of Cerealia's endgame. There is a chance this could become my new home game with Cerealia's closing, but I'm not sure yet.

Either way, Steven and Gundam are both good to say, and I'm looking forward to getting more into the metaplot with them. I may pursue a third someday, but most likely not until Cerealia ends, and it would probably depend on different factors.

In General

I let go of Futurology not too long ago, so now I'm down to two games. And with Gundam's application, so far I'm intending to let that be my last app until Cerealia ends. There is always the chance that I could cave to a strong enough temptation to do some manner of new app, but I don't have any strong feelings for the moment, and for now I fully intend to stick to my plan of juggling just Cerealia and Empatheias until Cerealia ends.

And hypothetically when that time comes, then things will depend on what I'm feeling at the time. I could put all my eggs into the basket of Empatheias, or I could try juggling one other game on the side. If I do send someone to Emp, it may most likely be an AA, but I'm not sure yet; with Phoenix's drive diminishing and me feeling like there's a lack of particular things I want to do with him, I may put him away for the time being after Cerealia.

I also don't know what I'd do with Rock Lee after Cerealia - I don't think I'd put him in Emp, so he'd be my primary possibility for if I pick up a second game I guess. It's weird to imagine not having Lee in a game, but that may be a possibility in the future. I've idly looked at some games, but without any committed feeling yet. One is Subnautica, and I've also thought about giving Futurology or Drift Fleet another try. Entranceway's SU cast has seemed tempting too, but they have a potential Steven anyway and trying to play Steven in two games historically hasn't gone well for me. There's also the possibility of cool new games surfacing sometime. I'm mostly wondering for Lee, but there's also the possibility of other DR muses if any of them end up feeling game-ready, or I'll see if I end up picking up any new muses in the coming months.

But I'll keep on keeping my eyes on games over the next months while focusing on the ones I'm in now, and see where my road leads me. And at least things are a lot of fun right now!
