Rock Lee
Naruto @ Cerealia
TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■■■
I can often get through his tags the quickest, and he sometimes has a way of dominating my inbox!
MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■■■
His voice comes to me almost reflexively at this point! I never have to review.
CAST STRENGTH: ■■■■□
The Naruto cast has exploded, and it's managed to maintain itself as a beautiful explosion! People have been busy lately, but I'm greatful for every last castmate, and my threads with everyone have been a lot of fun so far, and I'm looking forward to all future developments and shenanigans! And I'm lucky to have gotten almost all of my dream castmates, including the rest of Team Gai, with even the possibility of getting the sensei himself!
PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■■□
Rock Lee is really easy to plot for and get involved in things?! It helps that it's so easy to convince him to do things. Lee is perfect in this game in that he fits well with opportunities for slice-of-life, the game plot and action stuff! I only hold him back sometimes and from some things in order to to give my other characters chances to do things! (For example, with main game plot stuff, I try to focus on Phoenix first, and Lee secondary).
GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■
Rock Lee is fun incarnate. Whether with ridiculous antics or srs business, threads always manage to be fun!
LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: □□□□□
If I ever dropped Cereal, but Rock Lee is in this for the long haul!
Phoenix Wright
Ace Attorney @ Cerealia
TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■■□
Pretty high? Sometimes his tags end up sitting for a while, but once I get myself onto them, I usually clear them fairly quickly.
MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■■□
I feel like I can brain him pretty easily! I do look back at the games every now and then for review, but his voice has been coming pretty naturally to me. And his voice is a nice alternative to Lee in that he isn't keyed up 24/7, he's more grounded and comes with a lot more snark and trolling. His threads can also be versatile in terms of entertainment because of the way that he can alternate between being the funny man and the straight man in situations, especially at his canon point.
CAST STRENGTH: ■■■□□
We've taken some hits, but everyone left is precious and amazing. And there's a chance for more growth still in the future! I do really hope for more of the Wright Anything Agency family and Feys in particular, but I would also love pretty much any castmate who wanted to join, including villains!
PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■■□
Phoenix is the character who I try to get the most involved in the plot, and I'm looking for him to sink his teeth into it as much as possible! The interlude was a really fun kick with that, although I'm sad that the following info log didn't seem to reach its potential. But I have Phoenix ready to try to gather as many plot leads as he can. I only have trouble braining not-metaplot related things for him sometime, but there is always his job at the school to fall back on at least.
GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■□
He's a lot of fun! It's nice playing an adult who can be both responsible and a loser, and his CR circle has slowly been expanding in fun ways! And as said above, his muse offers a fun change of pace from Rock Lee.
LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: □□□□□
Phoenix has also reached the stage of being in it for the long haul.
Taichi Yagami
Digimon @ Cerealia
TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■□□
Sometimes I'm on fire with Taichi's tags, but other times he's one of the lowest priorities. I definitely had a big slump with him recently, but I'm working my way back into a better groove.
MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■□□
Taichi's been a fun and refreshing muse in some ways. It's nice to have a kid hero in the game, but I also like that he's just as capable of being a little shit as he is of being responsible and nice. It makes a nice break from how straightforward and honest my other muses tend to be. Sometimes his voice feels dry to me, though, which is part of why I've slumped with his tags recently, and I've slowly been poking at review to try to get him into better shape.
CAST STRENGTH: ■■■□□
It's small but very lovely and with one of the most key characters for Taichi! Our Takeru and Hikari are both precious, and there's a chance of getting a Daisuke too! It'll be nice for Taichi to get confused by all of the 02-ness. I am planning to update him to 02 as well someday, but I've been intending to wait some amount of months for him to build up more CR first, for the full impact of possible CR reactions to Taichi growing older.
PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■□□
He's been taking a backseat on the plotting front, and I've mostly been throwing him around and building up CR with him without much in the way of concrete plans. Being a shounen protag, he does have a lot of plotting potential, and I do worry sometimes that I'm underplaying it too much, but that's one aspect of having three characters here that's hard to juggle. But I'll see what I can do to fine tune it over time.
GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■□
When I'm in the right groove for him, playing him and Agumon can be a lot of fun! It's refreshing to play a character who has a lot of my character type's traits while also being a brat!
LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: ■□□□□
If I had to let go of someone, it could be him. But it's not in the cards currently, and I'm not ready to give up on him.
Dick Gumshoe
Ace Attorney @ Futurology
TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■■□
His tagging priority has been pretty high lately, well aside from the most recent few days where I've fallen behind a bit. But luckily Futurology's laidback atmosphere makes it feel pretty easy to jump back on the horse in such times. For a while there though I think Gumshoe had been topping tagging priority?!
MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■■■
He's felt like one of my most solid voices lately, and I've been glad that I've kept him around Futuro!
CAST STRENGTH: □□□□□
He's been LCWing it up. It would be nice to have some more AAs around, but it's not the strongest of desires. I've been feeling content with his lovely cross-canon CR!
PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■■□□
I can be lazy with him when it comes to plotting, especially the more srs plots. But Gumshoe is still someone with the potential to work well as a supporting player, and luckily this new mission is right up his alley!
GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■■
I've had a whole lot of fun with him during the Oska hijinks, and it's helped me to get some better footing with him in the game, and to start/build up a lot of great cross-canon CR. So great stuff with Gumshoe!
LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: □□□□□
To think it wasn't that long ago that I thought I would just fade out of the game completely. Luckily I've been feeling refreshed and Gumshoe should be a keeper!
Steven Quartz Universe
Steven Universe @ Empatheias
TAGGING PRIORITY: ■■■□□
When I'm feeling Steven's voice, it's usually easy to burn through his tags. But when I'm not, I can be really slow with how they can pile up. The troubles of a social character... and I guess I've also been stuck wondering which threads from last month to hang onto and which to let go of.
MUSE STRENGTH: ■■■□□
His must strength can kind of fluctuate. The unfortunate trend from the past has reared its head again, where my Steven voice and drive weaken while the show's on hiatus. Even if he comes naturally to me sometimes, at other times I can feel forced with his voice and very second-guessy about things, which leads to me being slower with him (and to that lower number of boxes). I might poke at some past episodes sometime soon to try to reignite his drive, especially since there's a bunch of recent posts I'm intending to tag. But at least we'll be getting that extreme block of upcoming new episodes in just a little over a week, so that definitely has a strong chance of helping with Steven's consistency.
CAST STRENGTH: □□□□□
He's living up the LCW life. I will keep on hoping for castmates!
PLOTTING CAPABILITIES: ■■□□□
I have to try to pick up the ball for him for plotting in the game. So far I've mostly been settling him in and getting CR rolling, and one of my next goals would be to get his head more properly into the plot. So I'll work on that when I've caught up more, and I still have to check the new job board listings to see what to do there!
GENERAL FUN LEVEL: ■■■■□
When I'm in the right headspace for Steven, he can be loads of fun! It's generally the usual fun of playing my usual character type, but with more meta-ness and ridiculousness. I have to start bringing back spontaneous songs for him too.
LIKELIHOOD OF DROP: ■■□□□
If I can't get proper footing with him in the game, or it reaches a point where I have to let someone go, a drop could be possible. But it's not a strong possibility, and it still feels possible that I can get his muse properly on track.
So that's the general score. Cerealia feels strong as ever to me, aside from having to get onto a better trackk with Taichi. And with my two other one-character games, I'm feeling refreshed with Futurology while needing to find my proper footing in Empatheias. Apps aren't planned for the most part. With Cerealia I feel at my limit, while with Futurology I feel one character is my proper comfort zone (plus it reduces stress about taking up character slots) and with Empatheias I possibly could handle adding more in the future but currently I'm still just getting my feet wet so I think more about adapting Steven then possible future characters. My roster could possibly stay the way it is, although now I've been descending into Dangan Ronpa hell slowly. At least it's still too soon to tell if I'll have any definite muses (though I've been feeling some pings for Gundam, Nekomaru and Twogami so far), and even more too soon to tell if any such muses would be game-ready. And in terms of other games, Subnautica has looked interesting too, but I'm going to get my head on straight about my current stuff before thinking about whether or not I can handle another game.
